Avi Abudi

Avi is excited to join CJDS as a new teacher. His journey recently brought him from Israel to Ohio, along with his wife and their two children. Born and raised on a kibbutz, he later graduated from UCLA and holds an additional MBA degree.

After more than 14 years working in international business, export, and finance, Avi made a purposeful transition into education through the Teach First Israel (TFI) Education Leadership Development Program. Driven by a deep commitment to shaping the next generation, he served as an elementary homeroom teacher focusing on English, Mathematics, Geography, and Bible studies, where he implemented innovative projects and digital learning activities.

Avi is passionate about continuous learning, traveling, crafts, and agriculture. He brings a broad perspective on education and cultural understanding, and he believes in instilling values such as dedication, mutual respect, and perseverance while encouraging students to face challenges with confidence.

Above all, Avi is family-oriented and truly excited to be a part of the CJDS community.
