Helena Richards

Helena Richards brings over 30 years of experience in education to our school, specializing in K-12 education and intervention. Her career is marked by her commitment to understanding and supporting the unique learning needs of each child through evidence-based instructional approaches and compassionate care.

Helena holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College and a Master's in Education from Ashland University. Her expertise includes IEP development, dyslexia intervention, executive functioning support, and writing instruction. She has worked across various states, meeting the highest teaching standards.

Returning to Columbus Jewish Day School, Helena is excited to continue making a meaningful impact on students and families. She is passionate about meeting students where they are and using structured techniques to help them succeed.

Outside of teaching, Helena enjoys hiking, spending time with her Maltese, Leo, and cherishing family moments. She eagerly anticipates the arrival of her first grandchild in September 2026!
