
White Wine Cake
Ingredients
For the Cake:
● 1 box Duncan HInes yellow cake mix
● 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
● 3⁄4 cup water
● 3⁄4 cup vegetable oil
● 1⁄4 cup white wine
● 4 eggs
● 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
● 2 tsp cinnamon
● 1⁄2 cup chopped pecans
For the Glaze:
● 1 stick margarine
● 1 cup sugar
● 1⁄4 cup water
● 1⁄4 cup white wine (set aside)
Baking Instructions:
● Preheat oven to 325 degrees
● Spray a bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray
● Mix the cake ingredients together, leaving out the pecans
● Put the pecans on the bottom of the bundt pan
● Pour in the cake batter
● Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out
clean
Glaze instructions:
● Bring all the glaze ingredients to a boil except for the white wine
● Remove the pan from the heat and add the white wine that was set aside
● Spoon 3⁄4 of the glaze on the cake while it is still in the pan
● Let set for 10 minutes
● Place the cake on a plate of your choosing
● Pour the remaining glaze on the cake
